The Square Book
This project explores the concepts around a basic geometric form: the square. Taking its basic characteristics as a start point, it evolves to an experimental visual investigation of how to use squares in a grid’s composition.
By experimenting with its characteristics according to space, rhythm, color, and function, the book compiles a series of practical, visual, contextual, and conceptual responses to the shape.
Otto Maria Carpeaux | Book Collection

Carpeaux was one of the greatest intellectuals of the twentieth century, and his monumental work known as the “History of Western Literature” is the largest and most-complete work ever written on the subject. It is part of the Western canon of literature.

Kate Ellison | The Butterfly's Enigma
Penelope, known as Lo, always liked collecting beautiful objects. Her father's work as a consultant kept her moving from one decadent city to another, where she became accustomed to picking up (sometimes even stealing) peculiar jewelry and memories from each new place. She looked for goods that would allow her to feel, at least, some semblance of home. But, since his brother Oren's death, their family has never been the same: their father is more in the office than at home, their mother lives doped with antidepressant medications, and Lo's mania has become a potentially dangerous obsession. During her routine scouring flea markets, she discovers a beautiful, antique pendant and recognizes it as stolen. It belonged to a murdered girl known only as "Sapphire" who was just a few years older than Lo. With the help of the street artist Flynt, she leaves in search of the killer, opening an investigation to unravel this enigma.
